I took one depo shot & I haven’t felt healthy since. I gained 10+ pounds. Almost lost all sex drive. Sick to my stomach & dizzy almost all the time. Became depressed & moody. Was supposed to take 2nd shot by 11/27/14 but am never taking it again. Finally had period on 12/7/14 @ 10am. BUT-As of 12/6 @ 1230am had the worst headache of my life. Debilitating, had to hold my head for 30 seconds in fetal position bf it stopped stabbing. It occured simultaneously with orgasm. Same thing happened @ 830am on 12/7 then started period @ 10am. Bad headache on both sides, top & back of head & feels like cotton plugging ears & loss of hearing for 15 seconds, Sun @430pm, Monday @ 1240pm & Tuesday @ 830am. Feel fuzzy & a bit “slow” ever since. Have seen shadow hallucinations like a black cat or shadow running by 3 times since starting period. Sertiously considering going to the E/R. Also feels like a migraine mixed w a reall bad sinus headache when it subsides. Never had this bf shot. Anyone else feel like this coming off the shot?
I’m lightly spotting brown blood and have been for about a week. It’s so light it hasn’t required a pad, but when I sit down to pee, I noticed the light brown when I wipe. I got off(took out) the Nuva Ring Monday, January 26 and had a regularly scheduled period from Thursday, Jan. 29 thru Tuesday, Feb. 3rd. I was supposed to insert a new Nuva Ring that Monday, Feb. 2nd, but had decided to get off/stop taking the birth control due to family history of blood clotting. I had been on the Nuva Ring for approximately 5 years until this date. The week of Feb. 9th, I had some cloudy egg white looking discharge that I researched at ovulation discharge which was weird because I don’t ever recall having that. The light brown spotting started the week of Feb. 15th and hasn’t stopped as of yet. I did read that some spotting is normal, but I’m wondering for how long for. I am also unsure of when I will have a normal period after having been on birth control for 5 years. Is this brown spotting some kind of a light period- I don’t get it. When should I be concerned about this light brown spotting that has already been going on for a week to date?

I’m 28 years old. I’ve been on Depo for almost 5 years, and I got off it about 2 months ago. I just started experiencing very sore breasts. Today it’s more my left breast. I found what feels like a rubbery lump in the left breast and closest to the mid chest. I found a lump in the right breast about the same spot. Closest to my mid chest. My mom died of breast cancer so of course I’m freaking out. Idk if the lumps are normal and I’m just thinking too much into it. Someone help. I’m making an appointment in the morning for possible mammogram.

I been on depo almost 4 years I decided to stop it again and not go back to get my shot the withdrawal symptoms are headaches, sore breasts or nipples, brown discharge or heavy bleeding, bad cramps and mood swings, no sex drive but when the shot completely gone out of your system sex you should start wanting sex, start taking vitamins c or any dietary supplements to get your period and hormones back on track also take vitamin d for your bones in case you lost some

I am 21 years old. I went on depo for one year exactly and stopped it to start an IUD, which ended up removed in one month for the most extreme pain ive ever had. I gained 40+ pounds over the course of that year eating the same way I always did and same exercise. I gradually lost all sex drive. I overall look puffy and not like myself. For 6 months I have ate less than 1000 calories a day, workout vigorously 4 times a week, and I haven’t lost barely 5 pounds. My doctors just keep saying to “keep up your healthy diet and it will work”. Hasn’t worked yet. I am eating practically whole food vegan, and this isn’t working. I also have night sweats every night, so bad that my mattress got black mold in the shape of my body. When will this end, idk.

I have been on the DEPO shot for 29 years……I’ll be 50 in a few months. I’m getting my very last shot in a few days. I have been experiencing horrible hot flashes for the last 2 years…. which makes me think I’m perimenopausal or in menopause. I don’t know? And won’t know until months from now. Obviously, I’m one of those people who loved the shot, and I haven’t had a period in God knows how long. But I’m terrified of the withdrawal symptoms to come…..I know about it a little bit cuz I tried getting off it in my 30s, and I felt awful. Can anyone tell me what to expect?? Other than pure hell?

I have been on depo for almost about a year and I got of it recently and it’s been over 6 months and I haven’t got any signs of bleeding and still get breast soreness, headaches mood swings and cramps. Should I be worried because I’m a teenager in her 16s and I haven’t involved my mum and this is scary to me. I also used to bleed after sex on depo but after I got off it I didn’t bleed last time I had intercourse. Is there anything I can do to regulate my menstraul cycle back to normal?
