Convening at Kennesaw State University outside of Atlanta, Georgia, the Society for Menstrual Cycle Research celebrated its 40th Anniversary June 22-24, 2017. The traditional symbol for a 40th tribute is the ruby gemstone, an apt image for an organization dedicated to research, education, and activism on behalf of the menstrual cycle. And quite a celebration it was, with representatives from more than 20 countries and presentations covering the full range of menstrual interests. Not to mention the Friday night Red Moon Howl featuring a variety of open mic performances, co-hosted by Atlanta’s Peach Coven. The program for the 22nd Biennial Conference provides details on the research papers and advocacy initiatives presented by members and attendees.
